New Game Alert: 1965 All-Star Game

On July 11th, at 8 pm ET MLB Network has listed that they will be airing the 1965 MLB All-Star Game. This will be the first airing of the game that I know of since the original broadcast. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail as I will save that for when the broadcast actually happens but needless to say I've got some feelers out to try and find where this broadcast popped up from.

I just wanted to throw this up to give people a heads-up of the coming broadcast.

  1. What is your email address?

I may be overlooking it on the blog, but I don't see it.

  2. Email has been added to the upper left hand corner temporarily. A more appealing graphic soon to come.

    Thanks for your interest.

  4. The New York Post has a small item on the airing of this (which confirms that yes, it's for real!). The B/W kinescope is not from the CBC like the 1965 World Series kinescopes are from, but an Armed Forces TV kinescope that somehow made its way from Alaska (where it was used for Far East airing to servicemen) to the New England Sports Museum and then to MLB at last.
